Tadiwanashe Kurimbanawo
Director
Tadiwanashe Kurimbanawo is the Founder and Director of Mental Health Sustainability, a youth-led organization dedicated to promoting accessible, community-driven mental health services across Zimbabwe and beyond.
As the Director, he provides overall strategic leadership and oversees all departments, ensuring a unified approach to the organization’s mission. His core mandate is centered on resource mobilization, fostering strategic partnerships, and upholding strong governance. Crucially, he is responsible for ensuring compliance with the PVO Act and representing the organization at both national and international levels. His leadership ensures sustainability in all mental health programs.
Tadiwanashe leads the organization with a strong vision for sustainable emotional well-being and psychosocial support, especially for vulnerable and underserved populations. As a trained Mental Health Counselor, he holds a Diploma in Mental Health, a Diploma in Human Resources Management, and a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation. His professional background includes key roles as a Zvandiri Peer Counselor and District Facilitator for the Eastern District under the Young People’s Network on Health and Well-being, where he championed mental health awareness and peer-led support systems.
At 26, he brings both lived experience and professional insight into mental health advocacy, youth empowerment, and systems strengthening, continuously working to influence national conversations around emotional resilience and the need for inclusive, locally driven mental health solutions.

Florence ChinGwe
Deputy Director
Florence Chingwe is a strategic leader and experienced social development professional who holds the pivotal role of Deputy Director. She works in close partnership with the Director to manage day-to-day operations and ensure the seamless execution of the organization’s vision.
Her primary responsibilities include coordinating cross-departmental functions, acting as the Director in their absence, and supervising overall project implementation. Florence works closely with managers across all departments to strengthen internal efficiency and ensure the timely reporting required for organizational accountability and donor relations.
Florence brings a wealth of empathy and practical experience to her leadership role. She holds a Diploma in Social Work and a Certificate in Counselling, underpinned by over six years of specialized counseling experience. Her background is distinguished by extensive work with children living with HIV (ages 0-24) and her dedication as a certified counselor for HIV Testing and Services (HTS) at a local clinic. This deep-rooted commitment to psychosocial support for vulnerable populations ensures that strategy is always grounded in the needs of the community.
Maxwell Djoko
Programs and Projects Officer
Maxwell Djoko is a highly skilled Administrator, Project Coordinator, and Health Worker with a deep commitment to community well-being and effective program delivery. As the Programs and Projects Officer, he leverages his multidisciplinary background to oversee, monitor, and facilitate MHS initiatives, ensuring projects are implemented successfully and achieve maximum impact.
Maxwell holds a BSc Local Governance Studies Honors Degree from Midlands State University and has further specialized with an Executive Diploma in Supply Chain Management and certifications in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL). He is also trained in Basic Counselling Skills, allowing him to bring a compassionate and psychosocially informed perspective to his administrative and field work.
His extensive professional experience includes key roles in program facilitation, research, and community outreach with various organizations:
- Helpline Agent at Childline Zimbabwe, providing tele-counselling and psychosocial support to children and families.
- Mentor/Peer Educator for the National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe (NAC), where he mobilized communities and facilitated health awareness initiatives.
- Brand Ambassador/IPC Agent for Population Solutions for Health (PSH), coordinating stakeholders and creating demand for VMMC services.
- Administration Intern at the Ministry of Local Government, providing foundational support in public relations and reporting.
Maxwell’s diverse experience in administration, public health, and monitoring tools like DHIS2 and ODK Collect makes him an indispensable visionary for leading and sustaining MHS programs.

Tanaka Mapuranga
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager
Tanaka Mapuranga is a dedicated and results-driven professional who plays a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness and accountability of Mental Health Sustainability‘s programs. As the M&E Manager, he is the strategic leader responsible for developing robust monitoring frameworks and overseeing all impact evaluations.
Tanaka’s primary focus is driving data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. He is responsible for the crucial task of producing comprehensive quarterly and annual reports for donors and stakeholders, clearly communicating the organization’s progress and impact. Furthermore, he assumes a leadership role, supervising research officers and M&E staff to maintain the highest standards of data integrity and analysis.
His commitment to excellence and technical proficiency ensures that the organization not only tracks its progress effectively but also continuously refines its strategies to maximize positive outcomes for the community. Tanaka is key to demonstrating the tangible results of MHS’s mission.
Grace Mambara
Finance Manager
Grace Mambara is a highly dedicated and experienced accountant who oversees the financial health and sustainability of the organization. As the Finance Manager, she is responsible for the critical functions of budgeting, financial management, and ensuring strict donor compliance. She prepares comprehensive financial statements and maintains functional internal control systems to safeguard organizational assets.
With a robust professional background, Grace brings expertise in Tax Compliance, Management Accounting, Asset Management, and Inventory Management. Her skills are further enhanced by a history of impactful project work, including the Asset Register Reconstruction project at ZBC and the successful implementation of a new Accounting system at Heart of Healing Church.
Grace’s leadership extends to supervising grants officers, accountants, and administrative staff. She is also proficient in the formulation of finance policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures. Her strong administrative, project, and stakeholder management skills make her a foundational asset to the team’s operational success.
Takudzwa Chimutsa
Accountant
Takudzwa Chimutsa is a dynamic and emerging professional who manages the critical day-to-day financial operations of the organization. As the Accountant at Mental Health Sustainability, he plays a key role in maintaining transparency and accuracy in all financial transactions.
His core responsibilities include managing bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, as well as providing essential support for donor financial reports. He works in close collaboration with the Finance Manager to uphold the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance.
Takudzwa brings a robust background in finance, having gained valuable experience with the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, where he provided essential support to local authorities in budgeting, financial reporting, and advisory services. This experience has honed his skills in financial analysis, client service, and public finance operations.
Beyond his organizational work, Takudzwa is a dedicated entrepreneur and a strong advocate for youth empowerment, building his brand, PrimePath Careers, which focuses on career development and digital empowerment. His commitment to creating impactful solutions is driven by a strong belief in using his financial and digital talents to make a positive difference in the community.
William Enesi
Human Resources Manager & Capacity Building Officer
William Enesi is a dynamic human capital specialist who seamlessly integrates strategic organizational management with impactful community development. He serves in a dual capacity at Mental Health Sustainability, driving both internal excellence and external growth.
As the HR Manager, William is foundational to the organization’s structure. His primary responsibilities include leading recruitment, staff development, and organizational HR policy formulation. He oversees all aspects of employee welfare, contracts, payroll management, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring rigorous compliance with labor laws and PVO standards.
In his role as Capacity Building Officer, William designs and implements critical training programs for staff, volunteers, and community partners. This function is vital to the MHS mission, focusing on building local capacity in mental health awareness and sustainability practices.
Born in 2002, William holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Capital Management and is an active member of the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ). Beyond his non-profit work, he is a successful entrepreneur, serving as the Founder and CEO of Elegant Bites Restaurant in Harare. A trained chef and poet, William inspires others by blending artistry with professionalism and demonstrating a passion for leadership and purpose-driven creativity.
Purity Mufarowashe Nyatondo
Communications Manager
Purity Mufarowashe Nyatondo is a 21-year-old mental health advocate and communications specialist dedicated to promoting sustainable mental wellness. He currently serves as the Communications Manager at Mental Health Sustainability, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s public image and amplifying its mission.
In this role, Purity is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans, managing all social media platforms, and overseeing the organization’s website. His expertise in both backend and frontend software development, underpinned by a Diploma in Software Development, allows him to bring a unique, holistic approach to digital media management, ensuring seamless functionality and a compelling user experience.
Purity’s advocacy work extends beyond his role at Mental Health Sustainability. As a passionate Zvandiri Peer Counselor, he continues to empower his peers and champion accessible mental health services, bringing both lived experience and professional insight to his work. His dedication to driving positive change is evident in his participation in key global forums, including the 22nd International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa (ICASA) in Harare and the AIDS2024 Conference in Munich, Germany, where he contributed to discussions on sustainable HIV prevention and advocacy.
Through his dual roles, Purity is committed to using strategic communication and digital empowerment to build resilient communities and promote emotional well-being across Zimbabwe and beyond.
